Powered by 3-phase MF DC, the narrow overlap welding machine joins tail of previous coil with the head of next coil through narrow overlap and rolling resistance seam welding. It is of adequate configuration, consisting of welding machine proper, double-cut shear, entry and exit centering device and looper, hydraulic and pneumatic and cooling devices, electrical control systems, etc. The welding automatic operation system is capable of automatically controlling the welding pressure, welding speed and strip centering, shearing, it also provides stepless servo control for the overlap amount. Its advantages include sound weld quality, less thickness difference between the weld and the strip base, small overlap amount, stable welding process, efficient production, reliable performance, easy operation and maintenance, low labor intensity. Two welding modes i.e. single weld run and single planishing, double-weld run double- planishing, are available; the welding process parameters can be adjusted manually or automatically; two type of machines are available: fully automatic or semi-automatic. It is widely applied in strip processing lines of the metallurgical industry, such as continuous galvanizing, tin plating, annealing, skinpass mill, pickling, recoiling, degreasing lines, etc.
